Located six miles east of downtown Truckee in what is considered the “banana belt,” Glenshire receives less snow than other areas in Truckee. The quaint neighborhood has a market, pizza restaurant, Glenshire Elementary School, and a preschool. The six-mile Truckee River Legacy Trail connects Glenshire to downtown Truckee via a paved bike path adjacent to the Truckee River.
